Payments Program

This program offers apartment and house rental opportunities to very low income families.  The Authority administers the program but does not own or manage the dwelling units.  The tenants relationship with the landlord is no different than the relationship between a private renter and his landlord.  Eligible families receive a certificate and may choose an apartment or house anywhere in the city.  The owner must be willing to let the family move in and receive a portion of the rent from the Authority.  The Authority also inspects the unit to insure Federal standards are met.
